Every child is unique and it is best to work at the pace that is best for the child. The goal is to move at a steady pace during each lesson, while continually prioritizing safety. While there may be no exact time frame for each child, you can feel assured that each lesson will cater to an individual approach that promotes the best results.

We recommend purchasing bundle lessons because when it comes to swim progression and comfortability in the water, children need consecutive lessons and training. Our lesson packages are strategically compiled to offer you the best price for the most lessons. Consistency and repetition is key when it comes to learning swim skills.

Select the bundle that works best for you and your child. Rest assured that the best swim instruction is guaranteed!

It is so important to treat water safety as another non-negotiable task for you and your child’s health. It should be viewed the same way as going to the dentist, doctor, or buckling up your seatbelt in a vehicle. Drowning is a leading cause of death for children in the United States, and it is essential for each child and parent to know how to prevent drowning.

Swim lessons give you and your child the necessary survival and safety skills to enter open bodies of water. Beyond the water, your child will also benefit from learning skills of resilience that extend into other areas of life. As a parent, you will be able to feel more confident in helping your child embrace water activities. Swim lessons benefit every family for the rest of their lives!

Our Swim Palekana policy (link) informs that we can not change our time slots the day of. We do offer cancellation insurance for no show lessons. We advise that you always contact _______ to let your instructor know that you will be late/not make it.

At Swim Palekana, your instructors are CPR certified in case of an emergency. Instructors are always trained one on one by the owner, Madi. Each instructor will know how to best teach your child how to be safe.

With many years of experience and safety as the first priority, you can feel confident that every instructor has your child’s best interest in mind. Our approach caters to your child and will always leave them feeling empowered and strong.

We are happy to answer any additional questions that you have about lessons, and want you to feel that you can completely trust our staff, lessons, and passion for swimming!

In my eight years of teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding prior to that; I have revived two children from drowning and I have never experienced this incident. At Swim Palekana, we take every action necessary to prioritize safety.

You may have heard of the terms “dry drowning” and “secondary drowning.” They’re not medical terms but they do point to rare complications that can occur. With “dry drowning”, water never reaches the lungs. Instead, breathing in water causes your child’s vocal cords to spasm and close up. That shuts off their airways, making it hard to breathe. You would start to notice those signs right away — it wouldn’t happen out of the blue days later. “Secondary drowning” is another term people use to describe another drowning complication. It happens if water gets into the lungs. Both events are very rare.

To emotionally prepare your small child for swim lessons, it is best to prior expose them to water, especially in their face. We will teach them how to hold their breath but it immensely helps, if they have had prior introductions to the water. From here, our experts will help them grow into the swimmer you know they can be!

As included in our water safety policy, every child that is not fully potty trained must wear a snug fitting reusable swim diaper over a disposable swim diaper each time they are in the pool.

Create your profile, add one child or multiple and any information you would like us to know about them. After purchasing lessons, you are then able to schedule any time and day that best works for you.

If you need more assistance with scheduling lessons please contact us via phone or email.
